knight cross holder HERBERT DAWEDEIT
 
hello ,
i am looking for info on a stuka pilot
herbert dawideit he was a knight cross holder
does anyone has info on this or a site where i can get info on german luftwaffe knight cross holders?

Here is what little we have about this fellow:

DAWEDEIT, Herbert.
(DOB: 20.05.14 in Essen).
25.01.42 Fw., awarded the Ehrenpokal.
07.09.42 Fw., awarded DKG, 8./St.G. 77.
29.02.44 Ofw., awarded Ritterkreuz, 8./SG 77.
Credited with over 800 combat missions.
†03.08.99.


Kracker has a few more details:

Dawedeit, Herbert - Lt. - 5/20/1914 - Essen 8/St.G.-77 (5/40), SG-111, 9/SG-200Ju 87RK(2/29/44), DK-G (8/21/42), EK 1 & 2, Wound Badge, Dive Bomber Operational Clasp w/PendTotal 806 missions as a Stuka pilot. During the Battle of Sevastopol, he flew 120 missions, up to 8 missions a day. Huge successes against ground targets! 34 Tanks, Trains, etc.. Shot down six times, safely parachuted three of those times. Wounded once. Survived the war. Photo
