He177 WNr 332198 , 3/KG100 , lost 21/22 January 1944

Hello dear friends ,

This plane was lost near Dieppe . Only 5 crew members are reported killed :
von der Dovenmüle , Teshner , Hanning , Krutzner and Pratt . I know there was a 6th airman aboard ( also killed ) but can't find his name . He was seen on a list , but not on the Luftwaffe Kracker Archives . Could someone help ? That would be far appreciated .

Best regards ,
Zorglub .

Thanks Chris ,
I've also have the NVM but only five names . Usually He177 had a six men crew , I wonder who is missing , or maybe he survived the crash ?

I would therefore say he survived uninjured

Hello,

The tail gunner (B2) could evacuate the aircraft and parachute jump. I guess he was unharmed. Unfortunately I don't know his name.

Hello Pierre ,

I think we had been in touch years ago about this crew . I remember one of the crew member had survived a previous He177 crash in late 1943 in your area .

I have a note on this loss that the von Dovenmuhle crew had previously baled out of 332216 following engine fire on 2nd Jan. 1944 in the Nantes? area . Though I cannot find the source again and have not been able to confirm ,
