F/O Geoffrey Bryson Fisken DFC, RIP

New Zealand's great fighter pilot and hero Geoff Fisken passed away on Sunday 12th of June 2011, aged 96. Geoff was the top scoring fighter ace of the RNZAF and all the British Empire nations in the Pacific campaign. He scored his kills in Brewster Buffalo and Curtiss P-40 Warhawk aircraft.

Hi Dave

I've only just spotted the sad news. Geoff was very good to me when I was researching/writing Bloody Shambles and Buffaloes over Singapore.

I have a nice photo of him holding one of my books.
