Can anyone provide information n the loss of Obergefreiter Johann Bapt. Gschwendtner who was killed on the 3rd September 1942?

Hi,

Looking at the Fold 3 site he was with 2/F R L 2 when killed.

What is this unit?

You may have noticed on Volksbund that he died in a military hospital (Sanko 1/181, Feldpostnummer 36991). He's buried at Korpowo, Russia.
His card says 'due to serious injuries', perhaps sustained on an earlier date?
