Ar 234 +AH?
Hello,
Can anybody ID the Ar 234 in the background of this photo of He 280 V7? https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7848/...ed801db5_o.jpg Roger |
Re: Ar 234 +AH?
From the toned-down (or dirtied-up) national markings, I think it's likely to have been a 1.(F)/100 machine. On 14 March 1945 the unit's strength report included T5+AH, W.Nr. 140149. There is a question about that Werk Nummer because it was also recorded for 4U+DH of 1.(F)/123, shot down 14 February 1945.

Roger,
Per Nick's comments I have the following: Ar 234 B-2b, WNr.140???, T5+AH, 1.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 100, R-45 near Ansbach Germany, August 1945. Source: San Diego ASM, A.No.0100094352 Cheers, David |

Re: Ar 234 +AH?
Thank you Nick and David,
ASM stands for Air & Space Museum. The photo source is the SDASM (San Diego Air & Space Museum). Cheers, Roger |
Re: Ar 234 +AH?
There was a second Ar 234 at Ansbach, probably coded T5+IH. Is anything known about this aircraft?

Ltn. Beck flew a T5+IH on 18 April but was unable to complete his mission. |
Re: Ar 234 +AH?
Nick,
In # 2 you said "On 14 March 1945 the unit's strength report included T5+AH, W.Nr. 140149" In # 7 you said "There was a T5+AH, W.Nr. 140469 with 1.(F)/100 on 14 March 1945." Is there a typo somewhere? Andy |
