Robert Deacon-Elliot DFC 72 Sqn 1940
Hi guys
I feel sure that Deacon-Elliot wrote a book post-war about his experiences with 72 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. I seem to remember seeing a copy at the Imperial War Museum many years ago. Does it ring a bell? Any idea of the title? Cheers Brian |

Hi
Col is correct regarding the title. The 'book' was no more than a few notes taken from the diary he kept at the time. It was published in 1961 when he was a member of the faculty of the war college, Air University at Maxwell AFB in Alabama USA. I've looked for a copy for years without any joy. Regards Gerry |
