Hello,

18231771 , S/Sgt. Celestino H. Garcia jr - KIA, June 6th,1944.

This airman served with the 415th Bomber Squadron, 98th Bomber Group.
The a/c "818" in which he was killed was badly damaged. Five of the eleven aboard bailed out.
So along with the remaining crew he was brought back.
The pilot was 2Lt. Lewis R. Kalb.

What was the full serial number of a/c "818", letter "L" ?
One of these is possible -

B24J - 44-40818.
B24L - 44-49818.
Not sure if the "M" was in Europe at the time ?
B24M - 44-41818.
B24M - 44-50818.
B24M - 44-51818.
