Rudolf Haninger
Hello
Does anybody know what was the eventual fate of Oberfeldwebel Rudolf Haninger of 4./JG 1? This man is generally credited with 11 victories on the Western Front but the trail goes cold after his last victory which appears to have been claimed on 15 March 1944. I couldn't find anything in Jägerblatt either so I'm wondering if somebody here would know if he survived the war or not. Horrido! Leo |

Re: Rudolf Haninger
According to Jochen Prien, he had at least 8 by 26 Nov 43?

Re: Rudolf Haninger
What Michel means is that Haninger is not in Mathews/Foreman's Aces book series.
However he would if the books were re-published since Johannes "presently" (2018) accord Haninger (spelled Haniger by Johannes) with 5 claims in 1942-43. Cheers Stig |

Hello
Many thanks to everybody who posted in this thread ... It's now obvious why there was nothing that I could find on this fellow after March 1944 as most sources unfortunately do not include training losses in their databases. Horrido! Leo |
