Crashed Dornier 17 Picture.
Hi can anybody identify the following photograph of what appears to be from 3/KG76?
Perhaps you recognise the location, with the church in the background. http://bp0.blogger.com/_6cCo5oLDQCc/...0169638279.jpg Source; with kind regards to the site, Luftwaffe Collectibles ps. Roger Gaemperle. Rgs, Steve. |
Re: Crashed Dornier 17 Picture.
Hi,
I think this is F1+CL. I have also seen photos of c/l F1+EL and F1+KL taken during French Campaign. Regards Robert |
Re: Crashed Dornier 17 Picture.
Thank you Robert,
would you happen to know where and when this may have happened? It looks like the French Campaign or early Battle of Britain period. Rgs, Steve. |
Re: Crashed Dornier 17 Picture.
Hi,
frankly I have not time to check this loss. Could be Belgium or France. Regards Robert |

Re: Crashed Dornier 17 Picture.
Many thanks Robert,
you may be right with this one. Are the crew names listed please. Kindest regs, Steve. |
Re: Crashed Dornier 17 Picture.
Hi Steve,
I know this was asked a few years ago, and don't know if you have found out crew names yet, but if not, they are: Fw. Erich Müller (FF), Uffz. Karl-Heinz Hambrecht (B), Uffz. Ludwig Gohr(Bf), Uffz. Willi Hartzsch (Bm), plus mechanic Uffz. Walter Pflüger (Wart.1) all killed. |
Re: Crashed Dornier 17 Picture.
Hi Steve yes I got this information a good many years ago.
Thanks however for letting me know. Best regs, Steve. |
