Losses NJG 200

Does anybody have a list of the losses of NJG 200?
I'm also interested in the history of NJG 200.

Thanks in advance
Rolf

Evening Rolf,

The two books written by Michael Balss will be then of great intrest:
Deutsche Nachtjagd - Materialverluste in Ausbildung und Einsatz (ISBN: 3-925480-3-6 & Deutsche Nachtjagd - Personalverluste in Ausbildung und Einsatz (ISBN: unknown). Kind regards,

Dirk

IMHO these books did not contain the losses of NJG200 and 100 or very incomplete

If you believe that Balss's data are incomplete, does this mean that you know of a better source for these two units?

Hi.

I have all the incidents (or at least the ones reported) for NJG 200.

They sustained 18 incidents reported in 1943, the remaining 23 incidents were reported in 1944, and I do not have detailed information on these.

Would be of interest to compare my records with Balss publication. Any volunteers??

Regards,
Andreas B

BTW! Those trying to contact me by mail during the last couple of weeks, will get back to you in a short while!

Not so much work to do, Balss work , is merely/exclusively based for 1944/45 on NVM , so need losses in personal, maybe there is none..

I just found these 2 coming from a Jägerblatt + uLTRA

Remi

Can you check your details for 1943 again

You list
WNr 360209 three times. First on 26.8.43 with 30% damage (which I can buy). Secondly on 10.10.43 with 60% damage and finally on 11.10.43 with 45% damage. The two latter one's sounds not very reasonable, one yes but not both...
WNr 880740 (aka 740) twice. First on 11.9.43 with 85% damage and then on 12.9.43 also with 85% damage. Same unit and same place...

Cheers
Stig

I mean, I can not remember, Balss first volume contains any nformation from NJG100/200. From the second volume I have in my records only:

25.9.1943 2./NJG 100 Feindflug Ju 88C-6 v v v Ursache unbekannt, 100 %

23.10.1943 3./NJG 100 H Do 217J verw-verw-+-++(2 gefallen) Motorstörung, 80 %, Toltoschin

Dear Stig,

These data brut from QM returns, first you collect then you correct or complete if needed, seems I just made half of the work..., to give you an hint of how big is the work, the total losses for the Lwf 1939-1945 amount to a bit less than 140.000 pcs ...

Night fighter units operating mainly in the East may not have suffered so many losses from enemy action. The USSR did not have a big force of Mosquitoes and Beaufighters to hunt them like the RAF did in the West. But even so you would expect regular losses to accidental causes in any flying unit.
