Airspeed Oxford in RCAF

Hi Guys

In Air Britain's Oxford book, they mention a CT Sq in connection with some aircraft's initial use
in the RCAF

Typically there is no explanation in the Abbreviation section....
Guessing, Canadian Training Sq?

Anyone who knows?

Cheers
Stig

Re: Airspeed Oxford in RCAF

Or Possibly "Composite Training Squadron" or "Conversion Training Squadron"

Both phrases appear multiple times in this list of Airspeed Oxfords used in the RCAF (WWII).

Scroll down to p. 243 here: https://www.bombercommandmuseumarchi...airwar1940.pdf

On web numerous more references to (this) Conversion Training Squadron.

Re: Airspeed Oxford in RCAF

Thanks Jerry

What an odd place to have it. No head line and hidden within No 1 Sq.

I must confess wondering why the Caspir site specifically on the aircraft I was looking at only
state Composite Squadron?
Oh well, they have been wrong before....

Cheers
