George Morrison (USA) shot down 1943, evaded capture
Hi,
I'm trying to assist a gentlemen in France in finding any information about an American airmen who was shot down, but evaded capture . assisted by of the French Resistance groups near Touraine . they know very little beyond they think it was 1943 and that George had a wounded leg, possibly a bullet wound. An interesting snippet is that George had been a silent movie actor. There is a George "Pete" Morrison listed on imdb from the Silent era but he was born in 1890, so would have been far too old I would have thought ? Can anyone shed any light on this story ? many thanks Jonathan |
