Exchanged W.Nr.?
 

Hi all,

I have an question mainly to those of you who are interested in losses and W.Nrs...
Do you have any experience that W.Nr. in some documents among the Gruppen within one Geschwader on Verlustmeldungen was switched?
Example: I have two planes lost on the same day:
-First is the yellow 9 machine of 3. Staffel. WNr. ending by 677.
-Second one is white 9 of 5. Staffel . W.Nr ending by107.
So far all right?
BUT, the photo from the crash site shows plane with II Grupe bar, comparing to Balkenkreuz with white 9. Still it matches. BUT on the tail is the W.Nr. 77.!!!!
HOW COME?:)
anyone may explain????
