Heinz Rokker 1920-2018

Fliegergemeinschaft mourn Luftwaffe and Bundeswehr veteran Heinz Rokker, the last living Oak Leaves winner. A night fighter pilot, and author of two books on night fighters especially NJG. 2, and his sport passion, tennis. He was often active in meeting his former adversaries, and we all enjoyed the wonderful reunions, peacefully. A lovely fellow, and true gentleman.

Sad to read that Mr. Rokker passed away.
I have his book on NJG 2, it’s a pleasure to read.

Heinz Rokker had 64 air to air night victories during WWII. How many unconfirmed victories did Rokker had during WWII? I was unaware of Rokker's passing until a year later. I was hoping that Rokker would stay on earth a few years longer and be over 100 years of age. Sadly it isn't to be. Peace be with Rokker up in Heaven.
