Hello,
Is it known just how many Meteor's were used by the FAA. Total numbers ?
Types such as the F.3; T.7, F.8, U.15, U.16, TT.20, and others.
Extra
Were any used before the end of WW2 ?
Thanks

Every fixed wing aircraft and helicopter used by the FAA since 1946 have been covered in Air Britain's two mammoth books on the subject

I am on a short holiday and cannot check until the weekend, but hopefully someone else can do so for you.

Cheers

The Air Britain FAA Fixed-Wing since 1946 book lists 87 Meteors in total in post-war use.

Further to Andy's answer the sub-versions used were

Prototype: 1
Mk F.3: 2
Mk F.4: 1
Mk T.7: 37
Mk F.8: 2
Mk U.15 (cv from F.4): 15
Mk U.16 (cv from F.8): 4
Mk TT.20 (cv from NF.11): 25

The two books are works of art (if FAA is your interest :) )
Highly recommended!!!
Cheers
Stig
