Hi all,

I hope someone can help me -- I'm looking for the place and date of birth of Oblt. Kurt Schalkhauser. He served in the early period of the war with V(Z)./LG1. His career in the mid-war years is unclear, he then "reappears" in the 1943-44 period with 1./ZG76, being shot down and KIA on 26 Jun 44 over NE Vienna in a dogfight with US fighters.

I do not knwo the data you are looking for, but I may tell you that he was shot down in M8+weisse 3 Me 410 near Durnkrut, Slovakia.

I am extremely interested in his person as well as others of ZG 76 flying and ended in Slovakia. Do you have some details about this man, photo or anything?

Born 11.03.1922 in Ortrand/Liebwerda.
