W.Nr. 2949 went on to become a long time survivor:
- rebuilt as a Bf 109 E-7, it was damaged 15% at Schachty, Eastern Front, 15 January 1943 whilst flying with Sch.G 1.

- damaged again 55% 19 October 1943 at Targsarul, Romania, whilst flying with 10./JG 301.

Could you (or some other kind soul) please tell me who manufactured this E model, and if possible also the WNr batch?

My WNr list stops with a D-1 at WNr 2940
