Hello, I have this deckel that is 8cm in width. Could the forum please educate me on the data this plate provides. Greatly appreciated.

I am trying to do as much research as I can possible on my own, and I enjoy it. I am struggling with finding a resource that will help me be proficient.

Hello, that's a Vorratsgeber for a fuel tank. It measured how much fuel was left in the tank. The fuel gauge in the cockpit was connected to this device. Since the fuel tank shape was aircraft specific, the aircraft type (in this case He 219) was indicated in the plate info.
