Re: eBay: German intrest
Hi guys
Some very nice pics of 2./JG 300 "Wilde Sau" with Bf 109G at Esperstedt, Germany in September 1944: https://www.ebay.de/itm/6-Foto-Flugz...sAAOSw~QRaFsMb Are these really G14 or rather G10? Best regards Harry |
Re: eBay: German intrest
Hello Harry and thank you for posting these photos,
Unless I am mistaken, the various combinations of raised oil filler hatches, square port refined cowling returns, lack of lower cowling bulges, and raised cold weather starting device hatches (Including at least one attendant yellow circular marking of such) point to every photo depicting an Erla-built Bf 109 G-10. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Re: eBay: German intrest
The Ju-88 G1+BJ looks interesting.
First, G1 is KG55, but afaik that Gruppe never had any Ju-88s ...... Second, the undersides paintwork looks interesting. The nose, nacelles and rear fuselage look to be pale blue, but the wing and rear section of the nacelles look to be considerably darker. Any thoughts? Peter |
Re: eBay: German intrest
Hello Peter,
thats not G1+BJ but GI+BJ, so its a Stammkennzeichen. http://www.stammkennzeichen.de says Ju 88A-4, W.Nr. 3590. Regards, Gunnar -Bf 110- |
Re: eBay: German intrest
Thanks for clearing that up Gunnar.

Re: eBay: German intrest
Please excuse me if you described this photo previously.
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Reichsvertei...53.m1438.l2649 Please is it a G-6 from a training unit according to the 3 digits ? "337" or "387" ... What about its camouflage ? Thank you Philippe |

Re: eBay: German intrest
post 71-1 nice picture Snautzer thanks. note the drone on the ground right of Do 17
|
Re: eBay: German intrest
I would like to know more about this drone and any others.
Best, Ed |
Re: eBay: German intrest
Hi Ed - I would think that this is not a drone as such but a Hitler Youth model plane. Note that there is one contender staring at the nose of the Do17 Lw propaganda aircraft. Most likely at a Lw show/event prior to WWII

Re: eBay: German intrest
Hi Harry,
Interesting photo ... the best resolution view I have seen of the tail. While the profile in "Luftwaffe im Focus" shows the 2. staffel red fin and rudder tip, the photo shows it is lacking. best regards, Jim |
