looking for all Informations regarding the Loss of Sergeant John Kenneth Holden, 56. Sqn RAF (2. TAF) on 02. February 1945 near Elze / Hildesheim after hitting the ground during "Railway Attack". (especially Details for these Mission / Area / Mission No....) Thanks in advance, streak98 |

according to German documents (Abschussnummer/casualty no. J 2931) the Tempest JN806 US-G hit the ground at 11.10 hrs 2 km northeast of Elze, 15 km west of Hildesheim, 100% damage. The pilot was found dead and buried on 2 Feb 1945 at the cemetery Hildesheim. Regards Leo |

Thanks again for your Help in that case... The Area of the Loss is well known for me, it is in the vicinity of my village. Otherwise I cannot find many Details about this Loss, especially Documents for the Mission from 56. Sqn... ORB for this day is known.... Thanks and greetings streak98 (Dirk) |
