Hi ghost,

Thanks for your reply….. I knowing this site and have also check it, but without any results. It is maybe also possible that this Meteor was from Belgian Air Force or a Danish one….. No signs / Documents also in the Village of Soßmar.
Try to find out more next time via the Eyewitness.

Thanks again,

hello again,

I found something about a crash of a "Gloster Meteor Mk.7" at stadtoldendorf near holzminden:

https://military-database.de/1952-de...remember-them/

soßmar as the crash site is secured?

because the distance between soßmar and stadtoldendorf is only about 70 km!!
not really a problem for a jet fighter!?

best regards

Hi ghost, Hi Col,

Thanks again for your support…. The crash of the Meteor nearby Stadtoldendorf happened very close to the youth hostel at the Hill (Homburg).
At the crashsite, a Memory Plate is erected….

So, Soßmar must be another case….

Greetings streak
