There is a claim for an Fw 190 destroyed east of Evreux on the night in question by the 219 Squadron crew of F/L M.J. "Mike" Gloster DFC and F/L J.F. Oswold DFC. They were flying a Mosquito NF.30.

only claim I have for the 8th AF was Newton of 352FS/353FG shooting down Fw 190 s/Charleroi in a P-47

hello I live in Louviers, I have found an English socket 20 mm cal k2 1944 I'm back there 3.5 km la mare corbet ) in the woods I have find 5 socket 303, two k1940 w I, one k 1942 wi, one k5 43 bviiz, one sr 44 bviiz and pieces of unknown metal, 20 mm in mare first and after all its 303 toward Louviers. English not combated in this same place not in 1940

the aerodrome you are looking for is in the Ardennes. Herpy l'Arlésienne, aerodrome built and completed June 06, 1944. Used by the JG6.
