Me 262 photos on eBay - new pictures(?)

Hi Gents,

Another batch of five pictures from the same seller.
Plane seems to be the same on all pictures and I think we got a different one times ago. Here is the link:

Regards, Franck.

Hi Walt,

Thank you very much.
Can you tell more about your source(s) please? Already published pictures ? Any known markings and unit?
Thanks for your help.

Note: Erfurt was taken by Patton III US Army on 12 April 1945 and "given" to russians on following 3rd of July. No chance to have snow during that period. Do these pictures come from Russian soldiers? ( Seller says: "Taken by an american from the 17th Bomb group 34th Bomb squadron") Is there another Erfurt?
And since part of these pictures are known by our fellow members - part of at least - I just wonder why I've never seen any WNr. concerning that plane in these columns.

Regards, Franck.

Hi Marc,

(I "saw" you!) :)
Thanks very much my friend! Better like that. And it was produced in Leipheim factory, I know. :D.

Cheers, Franck.

I just hope there is no confusion with the following one!! (source vet site, original is far bigger).

Dear All,

Are we making too big an assumption that all of the Me 262's in these photos are one and the same bird? Even in the 5 on eBay, at least one appears to be different.

Regards,
Richard

Hello Gents, Hi Richard,

Interesting; which one is different of the other four? (The one I did put alone being taken in Austria according the Vet site.)
...
And what about the two following pictures (Think eBay too but I'm not sure; maybe, most probably, one of those "exotic" sites pointed by Marc, regularly :)).

I think it's the same (thin white band around fuselage) too. In fact, I'm sure it is. I just discovered I had it.

Enjoy it, Franck.

Re: Me 262 photos on eBay - new pictures(?)

Dear Franck,

The first eBay photo was dark and it looked like there was no snow, which seemed to be in the others. Also, IIRC, the aircraft had been more complete, i.e., not with so many parts removed.

Your third photo showing an Me 262 up on wood supports appears to be a completely different aircraft - perhaps this is what you meant by your comment.

You comment about a thin white stripe around the rear fuselage. Of the 5 photos you present, only this one shows this feature. I don't remember what the eBay aircraft had, but I doubt that only one Me 262 ever had a thin white band around the rear fuselage.

I will admit, though, that the berm behind the aircraft was pretty consistent.

Regards,
Richard
