A beautiful Me109 pump
Dear all,
what is this Me109 pump ? where was it installed and what was its use ? Sleeping somewhere in France in a henhouse... GC |
Re: A beautiful Me109 pump
Looks like the fuel injection pump for a DB601/605. It sits between the heads in the "V" of the engine.

Re: A beautiful Me109 pump
Is that cast aluminum or iron? (It looks like it's iron!?)
Regardless, what an impressive casting. And it's an 'out of the box' new part. It has the throttle attached to it also. Wow-o-wow! Bronc |
Re: A beautiful Me109 pump
Given its location, adjusting the injector tube pressure had to be a real pain in the ass. (They had to be preset at the factory.)

SNAUTZER: Fantastic images from this engine manual! Congratulations and thanks for sharing that with us...
GILLES: Amazing finding! Do you know which Jagdgeschwaders flew nearby the henhouse in WW2? Maybe you can find the werknummer of the machine it was linked to, or even the fate, etc. Congratulations! Hope to see it at Toulouse one day (if I ever visit the Aeroscopia Museum). Cheerio, Adriano |
Re: A beautiful Me109 pump
there is no connection between the pump and the aircraft WNr.
