23rd Fighter Squadron pilot help

Would anyone have the names and serial numbers for these three Lieutenants (pilots)? They were assigned to the 23rd Fighter Squadron, 36th Fighter Group in late April of 1945. I have been unable to decipher the names/numbers from the unit records, both on microfilm and CD from Maxwell. I will list them with what I can somewhat deduce:

????? Brown, Jr. serial looks like 053?3??
Leo R. Pei??? serial looks like 0829629
Ros?? ? Wyman(?) serial is 0774400

On Brown, I cannot make out anything on his first name. On Pei?? I am not certain even the first few letters are correct. On Wyman, I am not certain of any of the first or last name, but put down what I can make out. Thank you.

Hello Kent,
I do not know if these men were 36 FG men but from what I find they are the only one's close to what you have.
WYMER, James R. - O-774401.
And
BROWN, Edward E. - O-537134.

Your Pei ?, Leo R.
Closest is -
PIERCE, Warren F. ( Kia 19/03/45 - 23 FS - MACR 13173 ).

Re: 23rd Fighter Squadron pilot help

Alex,

Thanks for the leads, but I went back and tried more deciphering. Pierce is definitely not the Leo R. Pei??? fellow; Leo R. is quite plain and these three were assigned on April 25, 1945, a month after Pierce was MIA. Wymer is not going to work as the serial I can make out for "Wyman" is 774400 for sure--BUT, my guess is Wymer and my guy were in the same class; if I can find which class roster has Wymer, I should find my mystery man. As for Edward Brown, I just can't make out any letters in his first name so will label as only "possible"; the serial is close to filling in my blanks, but again, I can not make out clearly enough to be 100% positive. I do appreciate the help!

LeRoy E Yakish, O-774402 (still MIA from Iowa) was commissioned at Luke Field in April 1944.

Search for Yakish on this link:

I would guess that Wymer and your "Wyman" were in the same class (possibly 44-D?).
