Scheuch-Schlepper restoration: color question

I run a Me 163B Komet website, which includes a section on ground equipment. Recently I had the pleasure to add a second surviving Scheuch-Schlepper, owned by Martin Kämpf:

http://www.sml.lr.tudelft.nl/~home/r...63/equip08.htm

Martin is currently restoring his Scheuch-Schlepper, and wants to know details of the yellow-brown paint that was used on most late-war Luftwaffe ground equipment. Does anyone know?

Martin also managed to find Robert Scheuch, one of the designers, who is still in good health. They hope to meet soon, and I hope to add a transcript of the 'interview' to the site in the future.

Re.: Scheuch-Schlepper restoration: color question

@ Rob:

Possibly the usually paint Scheuch-Schleppers weared the common yellow-sand-paint, most of German vehicles weared as basic paint in stage of late war. For instant a lot of German tanks left assembly plants with this typical coverage, by means of unit "designers" oversprayed with additional camouflage oversprays.

Kind regards

Norbert
