Hello gentlemen,
is there a source from where I can get the german Jägergradnetzkarte referring to the parts of the Eastern Front?

Hi !

Maybe you're in need of Latitude/Longitude data?
Then you could try my LUMA-Calculator:

Thanks a lot!

The site is really a great help for a researcher and as a new member I indeed didn´t know it.
Despite the explanations I still have some questions. For example when I have claim from Tony Woods list like this one ...
01.08.43 Maj. Erich Leie Stab I./JG 51 Yak-1 53 446 at 2.000 m. 18.45 Film C. 2035/I Anerk: Nr. 177

...I have only 5 numbers (here 53 446) and no overall data like 14 ON or sth similar. Where can I obtain this Info?

Many thanks for your efforts

Hi,
Sometimes you have to deduct and do a little of trial and error. You should be able to deduct the area (Jagdtrapeze)from here:
http://www.gyges.dk/JMN%20stor%20v20.pdf
if you know the approximate position.
In your case the J.T. might be a bit further east i.e. you have to try 24 O and 34 O.
It helps if you have a general idea about where the frontline was located see:
http://www.dean.usma.edu/history/web...ar%20index.htm
which I my opinion is a small researchers goldmine.

Re: Jägergradnetzkarte Eastern Front

hello,
that helps a lot. Just to see if I got right... I assumed the Battlefield Kursk lay in 35OS at that time ... then 53446 would be a location SW of Orel. As I./JG.51 was operating in that area at that time it could be the true position.
That´s right?

Thanks for your efforts
