Do 17 Near Tobruk 11 Nov 42

Does anyone have a claim for a Stab./StG 3 Do 17 Z-3 on this date? It would appear that the aircraft was on a transfer flight

Chris,

Six pilots of 260 Sqn (incl. Ron Cundy) claimed a Ju 88. I don't have MAW 2 on hand but believe this is a match, albeit an obvious case of misidentification.

The pilots of 260 involved were:

F/Lt WR Cundy

F/Lt CCH Davis

F/Sgt NE McKee

F/Sgt WE Stewart

Sgt JC Colley

Sgt BH Thomas

Observed to crash nr Tobruk with port engine on fire.

MAW 2, pp 444-445.
