Help with Sutterlin (back photo) - 1
Although a deciphering alphabet has been posted here by one member of the Forum, on a previous thread, for most of us non-native speakers of German it is indeed hard to "translate" what is written behind some photos.
I am therefore asking help to discover the names or clues to persons behind some of those, on the previous threads. Some are with me for years and only now did I had time to scan them properly and to try to find out more about them. Who is the Oberslteutnant in Russia (1941) informed on this back photo? |

Hello Adriano,
the text is "Juni 1941 mein Beobachter Obstl Bleines vor dem Einsatz". Regards Leo |
Re: Help with Sutterlin (back photo) - 1
LEO,
My deepest gratitude. I hadn't a glimpse of the Family Name of this Officer. I knew he was an Obstlt and that it was Russia, but nothing more. Again my humblest GRATITUDE and huge THANKS! Adriano Baumgartner |

Seems he was involved in movie making before the war (1933-35 at least). Do not know if the same man....but perhaps...No information, sadly either on the back of the photograph or from the seller to the unit involved. Most probably a reconaissance outfit...either for the Army or for the LW.
