There is a MACR 11564 for 43-37961. It did not land at Liege.
https://catalog.archives.gov/id/91112403 Abbreviations in the MACR: LWA (Lightly wounded in action), LIA (Lightly Injured in Action) , RTD (Returned to Duty). KIA (Killed in Action) and MIA (Missing in action). Melvin Bridges (MIA) was killed and he is now buried at Margraten. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...lvin-w-bridges https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...lly-pete-evans |

There is a photo of 43-37947 taken January 6 1945 on fold3.
Photo is here: https://www.fold3.com/image/161227042 Back of photo: https://www.fold3.com/image/161227057 The pilot was Robert Charles Gatzke, (305th BG) who was from Michigan. Don't know if he flew the plane on 10 January 1945, but that might be a possibility. |
