Peter,

This Blenheim is P4927 'BL-D' of 40 Squadron, lost on 6 June 1940.

There are many photos of this wreck, often showing it in an even more weather-beaten state. However the image you have turned up is new to me. So thanks for that.

Regards,

Martin Gleeson.

Hallo Faenor,

Blenheim Belgium 1940 https://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Flugzeu...IAAOSwF59cbbo~

Although no markings are visible this Blenheim is 'TR-X' of 59 Squadron, serial unknown, based on other EBay photos. However the photo was taken at Rouen-Boos airfield in France after the aircraft was damaged by ground fire on 6 June 1940 during a reconnaissance flight. It was abandoned there. At the time it was being flown by a 53 Squadron crew and was part of a combined 53/59 Squadron detachment operating from Rouen-Boos.

I have not been able to find the serial for this Blenheim but would dearly love to. Can anyone provide an ID or a photo showing the serial ?

Regards,

Martin Gleeson.

Hi MArtin,

you mean this one?
http://www.modelari.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=2403

last digit looks like 4859 ? but I´m not sure.

Maybe it is this machine - L4859 from 25.5.1940 - see the post number 3
