Li-6: what was Kurt Brändle claiming ?

Hello,

On 9 July 1941, Oblt Kurt Brändle of 5./JG 53 claimed at 0501 hrs a "Li-6" as his 13rd victory. One minute earlier Uffz Kurt Braasch of the same Staffel claimed an I-153 (his 5th known victory, but Prien and co did not assign it a number) but I don't know if it was in the same action.

Anybody has an idea what a Li-6 might be ? Or rather what the German pilots believed it to be, as they used many fantasy designation in summer 1941 for little known Soviet aircraft.

My first idea had been an air transport, as the Li-2, but this code was only created in September 1942.
