Looking for the Stammkennzeichen of a list of Bf 109Gs
I appeal to the collective wisdom of members of this this long-running forum, to identify the Stkz. for the following list of Bf 109Gs. The last entry is the opposite, I have the Stkz., I am looking for the W.Nr.
Many thanks for your help! 10677 13472 13918 150880 161482 165085 165086 165088 165092 165097 166089 166095 166098 166103 166166 166168 202045 413787 464625 491187 510908 511006 511903 512456 610589 610937 611023 611032 611076 612737 612771 612779 613090 760221 760254 760261 770284 780898 782764 785043 785728 BE+VV |

Many thanks, Tom, for the info.
It turned out that I didn't synchronise well the tables, so in one table I had the info for: 165085 - 165086 - NT+OS & OT 165088 - 165092 - NT+OV & OZ 165097 - NR+EE while in the other one I had not. However, the first entry was new to me. About BE+VV, here is a snippet from a Bulgarian pilot's logbook, dated 4.4.1944. Dénes |

13918 - DU+YR could not be true - DU+YA to Z were all Fw 190A-8

Re: Looking for the Stammkennzeichen of a list of Bf 109Gs
Why not? There is nearly 2 years between the issue of the two sets of Stkz.
I have stated before that there was not a separate two-tier system between 1st/2nd line or general use Stkz and Production Stkz. But those blocks that were issued to factories were often used several times, especially among those issued to fighters often only used for a short duration until assigned to their main Units but some did keep them longer. My main point is that as the gap of nearly 2 years (Bf109G-2 by WNF - 06:42 - 08:42 to Fw190A-8 by Focke-Wulf - 03:44 it does not seem unreasonable for both Stkz blocks to be correct. |
