According to some web-sources III./JG3 was stationed on Hannover (Langenhagen) on 21 february 1944. Who can confirm this, source?

Hello Cees,
the 10./JG 3 belonged to the IV./JG 3, base Salzwedel. Regards Leo |
Re: Station III./JG3 - 21 feb 1944
Cees - you asked for III. Gruppe, but now you say 10. Staffel. Unless you know something I don't, 10. Staffel belonged to IV./JG 3.
IV. Gruppe/JG 3 transferred to Venlo on 28 Jan 44 for operations under 3. Jagddivision. It made a tactical transfer to Volkel on 12 Feb 44 but returned to Venlo on 19 Feb 44. On 26 Feb 44 it moved from Venlo to Salzwedel. You can find all this in Dr. Jochen Prien's multi-volume history of JG 3. L. |
