Hi, thank you all! Because there were some other cases I had to work on, I had no news on this thread, but it's time to work on this one again. In the meantime I have received some pictures of Lacha and on one he is wounded at his arm and head. Since his arm was amputated after his last crash, I guess this one is just after the crash on 25 August 1942.
Because I've read some books I know now what the painting scheme was on his A-4 on 1 July 1943. However, I'm still searching for his radio callsign that day. We need this for the model. Also any information on Uff Karl Walz would be very appreciated, he was shot down by Peterson, so very important for the story of that day. Thanks. |
