Bill Neilson, pilot, RAF Manby
from Facebook:
International Bomber Command Centre 3 tSSphonesodrcthrsedh · Very sad to announce the passing of the wonderful Bill Neilson on the 12th June. He slipped away peacefully after a brief illness. He was born in Fife and in 1941, with the reluctant permission of his mother, went to Edinburgh to enlist. Following training, Bill went on to be a staff pilot with Armament School at RAF Manby. Bill is pictured below at the opening of the IBCC on a very cold April day. Bill was interviewed for the IBCC Digital Archive in 2016.
