We lost another of the Greatest Generation with the passing of Jerry Ravenscroft. Jerry was a P-51 pilot with the 26th Fighter Squadron, 51st Fighter Group of the14th Air Force in China. He would be shot down over Japanese-held territory and for the next 30 days he walked barefoot, in the middle of winter, back to American lines. He lost all his toenails doing so. Blue skies and tailwinds Jerry. It was an honor to know you.
