16/11/1944 MZ750 Halifax III 77 Squadron
 
Hello,
On 16/11/1944 MZ750 KN-J Halifax III 77 Squadron was one of the 24 aircraft which took part in the attack on Julich. The plane crashed in friendly territory.

The crew of nine were seen to bale out over Germany and Belgium :

Beadle Hilton Clive 54715 F/L.pilot ,safe, returned to unit(retired on 6/10/1971 as Squadron Leader, D.F.C., A.M.I.P.M.)

Mason Norman Robert 1874814 Sgt.Engineer,safe, returned to unit

Williams Ronald F/O.938050 navigator pow (orb mentions 151712, which is not correct)

Sinclair Peter Graham F/L.55203 pow air bomber (Retired as Wing Commander on 1/10/1964)

Nimmo Daniel McLellan P/O. 185885 pow W.Op.

Marsden Clifford F/S.2211847,safe, returned to the UK injured

Mcalinden Owen Joseph F/O. 52023 2nd pilot pow

Robertson Francis Hunter 1823157 F/S.air gunner,safe, returned to unit

Davis Lloyd Louis RAAF 422448,born on 4/09/1948 at Mosman, NSW,enlisted on 22/05/1942 at Sydney, NSW,safe, returned to unit(Discharged on 23/01/1946)

The route of the plane was : Base – 12.58 – Naze – 14.29 – 5100N 0300E 14.53 – 5034N 0540E 15.27 – Target – 15.38 – 5057N 0625E 15.39 – 5115N 0610E 15.45 – 5125N 0540E 15.52 – 5120 0400E 16.13 – Orfordness – 16.45 – Base – 17.31 (according to the orb of the Squadron – AIR27/657).

Any additional information available ? Did the plane crash in Belgium ?
