Crash on 30 march 1945, south of Rijssen (NL)
 

Hi,

According to the ORB of n°341 sqdn on 30 march 1945 "Twelve bombs dropped on a nearby station at V165012, south of Rijssen including one direct hit on line at station (not seen). Train in station thoroughly strafed."

A quick look on the map could give the station of Goor. But I am afraid it is not this station : I wrote to the "Stichting Heemkunde Goor" and have asked them if they could give me extra information about this occasion. They told me that there have been no bombing on the Railroad Station at that time and that the Centre of Goor has been bombed one week before on 24 March 1945 but not by a Spitfire patrol. The school and the whole Centre of Goor have been faded away.

Does anybody know the tactical target for V165012 and what is this station "south of Rijssen" ?
