Re: Early Aircraft Photos
Hello,
On ebay is a very nice photo of an early Curtiss captioned as taken at an air race in 1910. The quality of the photograph looks surprisingly good for 1910 : https://www.ebay.com/itm/30529285878...AAAOSwSPNlZ3Sj There are more photos from the same occasion, which don't show the aircraft so well: https://www.ebay.com/sch/86955/i.htm...ales33&_sop=10 Regards, Clint |
Re: Early Aircraft Photos
Hello,
Has anyone any further information on this aircraft? https://www.ebay.com/itm/23527386376...EAAOxy~dNQ~jyr The aircraft is described by the seller as the world's first aircraft with a variable incidence wing. The designers name transcribing from cyrillic appears to be Georgi Bozhinov ,although it is transcribed as Boginoff on wiki. Regards, Clint |

Re: Early Aircraft Photos
Clint and I discussed this one while TOCH went down - back on - down again etc.
I suggested it was the Flanders F.4 which is known to have been at Brooklands and at this point I believe we agree it is..... Anyone else? Cheers Stig |
