I think Andreas has the right guy, but I also had this:

Ju 87, , n.n., , III., 7., St.G. 2, , , , , 11-Dec-41, Machine gun fire. Bf WIA., , VIII.Fl.Korps/Eins.Osten, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #4)-Vol.7, , bei Klin, b, F, Bf Gefr. Anton Hartel, ,

Anton Hartl (not Hartel) is not the same guy. By chance two Hartls, both Bordfunker, were involved in accidents in the same day.

Hi,

I also had this other Hartel, and although he was in a StG I assumed the name was the best match.

And yes Matti - what are the chances for this to happen??

Place of Dead is Roth am Sand, Bavaria/Germany!! (Small town near Nuremberg with an Airfield) "Tödlich abgestürzt" are the german words for "Killed in an accident".
