I am looking for losses card or if exist any photo for this plane: Halixax B. Mk. III Serial number No 180 DT-S Pilot: F/Lt J. Nixon – (RCAF) Unit: 192 Sqdn. Target: Chemnitz (Germany) The plane was losses 05.03.1945. Crash place - Kęty (Poland) - Near Bielsko. Does anybody help ?? Fenix |

the pilot of the Halifax B.III NR180 was F/L N. Irvine, F/L John Nixon was the navigator. In the Bomber Command Loss Card the following crew is listed: Pilot F/L Irvine, N RCAF Nav. F/L Nixon, J E RCAF W.Op. W/O Martin, J A RCAF F.E. Sgt Howard, L A RAF B.A. F/O Banks, D E RCAF A.G. F/Sgt McCullough, W J RCAF A.G. F/Sgt Searle, A C RCAF SPOp(?) W/O Young, R F RAF. Regards Leo |

Does in loss card is any details about this losses this plane ?? Any info about the crew ?? What hapened with they after crased ? Do you know maybe any photo this Halifax ? |

search for www.lancasterbombers.net > Lancaster_Bombers > RAF Bomber Command Loss ... > 1st-5th March 1945 page 38. There you find the Loss Card of the Halifax NR180. Then search for www.rafcommands.com/archive/09744.php. There is an article of RodM about the details of the crash behind the lines of the Russian front. Regards Leo |
