Do you have access to the German KIA cards on Ancestry? He has one on there but my attachment allowance is maxed out so can not post it.
These are the basics but the card has more listed including the reason - it is written in sütterlin so hard to read. Something to do with an accidental death caused by a crash - also mentions the airframe & engines but I can't make out the rest of it.
