Captain Ehrengardt

Found this on this site : http://alumni.sjnma.org/site_uploads...le143_1000.pdf

75 Years Ago –1931-32
The St. John’s Air Corps is organized under the leadership of Captain Ehrengardt, a German Ace. A number of trips are made including flying to Detroit for the International Air Show.
(1932 Trumpeter)

Has anyone heard of a WWI German ace by the name of Ehrengardt? He might be a great grand-cousin of mine!

C-J. Ehrengardt

Couldn't find him in Above the Lines or The Jasta Pilots, which might exclude him as an Ace.

Re: Captain Ehrengardt

Thanks, Ruy.
I guess "ace" must be taken as a broad term for "seasonned" or just "good" pilot.
Never mind!
OT: There are only six of us wearing this name in France, all being next-of-kins. I would have appreciated to find part of my family elsewehere.
