Unknown type of Kurierstaffel Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine
 

Gentlemen,

I am looking for the type of a/c serving with the Kurierstaffel Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine in 1941. What is known: Werknummer 877, Stammkennzeichen RO+NN, most propably a Siebel Fh 104 or Si 204.

Any ideas?

I found RO+NN as a Fw 44.

Formation. (Aug 39)
Formed August 1939, probably at Berlin-Staaken, with 9 aircraft to perform courier services for the Commander-in-Chief and Supreme Command of the Kriegsmarine. The Staffel’s employment was under the control of the Verbindungsstab des Ob.d.L. beim Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine (Ob.d.L. Liaison Staff attached to headquarters Commander-in-Chief of the Navy).

Germany. (Sep 39 - May 45)
14 Nov 40: Ju 52 damaged during a storm at Fp. Boulogne - Le Portel, 90%.2
24 Feb 41: W 34 crashed at Paris – Le Bourget, 100%, Admiral von Arnauld killed and 3 others injured.
31 Mar 41: Caudron C 445 crashed en-route from Paris – Le Bourget to Berlin-Staaken due to navigational error, 80%.
21 Feb 42: Ju 52 struck the ground and crashed near Budapest, 90%, 1 injured.
16 Aug 43: Fh 104 (95%) and a Bf 108 (80%) bombed on the ground during Allied air attack on Paris – Le Bourget.
9 Oct 43: He 111H force landed south of Vicenze/N Italy due to engine fire, 50%.
12 Nov 43: Fi 156 crashed at Fp. Nikolayev-East, 100%, pilot killed.
21 Dec 43: Ju 52 crash landed at Kiel-Holtenau in conditions of poor visibility, 60%.

thanks for the pointer - the Fh 104 bombend in August 1943 was Werknummer 877...


Dénes: the document clearly states: "Werk Nr. 877, Kennzeichen: RO+NN, Halter: Kurierstaffel Ob. Kdo. der Kriegsmarine, Paris-Le Bourget".

RO+NN was a Fw 44, but CO+NN was a Fh 104...
