Jasta 12 Photo Album
Hello,
Currently on ebay is a very nice photo album with many photos from Jasta 12,though other aircraft including seaplanes too. It appeared to be worth posting the link: https://www.ebay.de/itm/325874447310...QAAOSwtpplRo9f Regards, Clint |
Re: Jasta 12 Photo Album
Hi Clint
Welcome back!! Very interesting album. Pity it seems rather badly scanned. Also a pity Jasta 12 used a lot of Albatros fighters without any Bestellnr visible. Interesting though to see both D.II, D.III and D.V so close together, timewise. There are a lot of photos of Ltn Roth visible. I wonder if this Roth was behind the album as such? What finally struck me as quite odd are the photos of what looks like Russians after "Roth's" Jasta 12 period and before "his" transfer to the Marine. Did the Germans fraternize with the Russians during the revolutionary period? Cheers Stig |

..Thanks. Where's the 'like' button when you need it...
The Richthofen images are labelled " April 1917, Epinoy " Seen with Paul von Osterroht, MvR's first pilot. Osterroht was shot down and killed in this month in 1917. (IIRC) |

Wonderful link ; thanks Clint for sharing. The photos in Epinoy (Cambrai) are great!
Very high price but could be a nice book like Jasta 14 The history of Jagdstaffel 14 − 1916-1918 -(Luftfahrtverlag-Start) Bertrand |
