Can anyone provide formation on the loss of Oberfeldwebel Georg Giglberger who was an experienced flier with the EKI and golden flight badge who was killed in a flying battle on the 22nd January 1945? With thanks for your help Rick |

1945-01-22, 7./TG 3, Ju 52/3m g8e, 501428, 4V+BR, Bei Steinbach/Bad Liebenstein (Dreiherrnstein bei Butteroll?) Flugzeugführer Uffz Knitter, Robert, verletzt Bordfunker Ofw Giglberger, Georg, + Fluggast Uffz Behlke, Helmut, verletzt Fluggast Obzm Bruns, Herbert, verletzt Notlandung infolge Motorstörung. Bruch 70 %. Possibly other passengers, too, but not yet found info on them. Matti |
