Are these ones rare to encounter?

Hello jamoros,

Are the three Hersteller code letters discernable on the Typenschild?

Respectfully,

Re: BF 109 tail wheel

Hello Jamoras,

Thanks for posting the nice additional images.

The Hersteller codes to which I refer usually take the form of three letters and refer to a specific producer. In particular, I expected that the code “ckz” ('Kronprinz' Aktiengesellschaft für Metallindustrie, Werk Solingen, Langenfeld u. Hilden [all NW]) might be visible. Kronprinz is a known maker of tailwheels for the Bf 109.

Respectfully,

Steve Sheflin
