Oblt Johannes Brandenburg 2./StG2
 

According to his bio he was shot down over Krakow in Sep 39, baled out but evaded and did likewise in the Battle of France. Can anyone come up with dates? Matti has nothing as it appears he was unwounded.

09.39 pilot in 2./St.G. 2. 10.39 ( or 04.40?) Oblt.,appt Staka 2./St.G. 2 (to 06.40). 06.40 began
converting to bombers. 18.09.40 Oblt., awarded Ritterkreuz Staka 2./St.G. 2. end of 09.40 trf to KG
1. 20.04.41 trf to KG 1 and appt Staka 4./KG 1. 28(18?).02.42 Oblt., Staka 4./KG 1 MIA/KIA - Ju
88 A-4 (V4+UM) S of Dobrovo (10 km SW of Kholm)/Russia when his Ju 88 was accidentally struck
by a bomb dropped by a Ju 87). Buried at Korpovo. Credited with about 200 Stuka and bomber
missions.

Nuts! He was not shot down, returned damaged by a Polish fighter.

Thanks Robert. Do you have a date then? This was taken from his bio in the Stuka RK book-I have nothing to match the latter one
