Re: Baptism of Fire
Just a heads up for anyone interested in this title, I've been waiting for it to publish for over two years now. According to Amazon.ca it was originally scheduled to be published in November 2010. The date on it has been pushed back again and again. This happened with another Helion title I was interested in that was listed on their website and when I emailed them to find out why the date kept slipping, I was informed they were waiting to see how much interest (ie preorders) there was before making the final decision to publish it.
So as much as I'd like to see this book published in April, I'm not holding my breath. |
Re: Baptism of Fire
The book has quite long way to be printing. First time was "prepared" to edition in Poland by Stratus/MMP 5 or so years ago. And now is printing in new editor, I hope so. At last, :-)
One remark to cover. I do not undrestand why is on the cover ex-Slovak/ Czechoslovak Avia B.534 with Hungarian markings introduced after 1942? Such plane was captured in March 1939 after force landing but had Czechoslovak markings of course, which is very good seen on the photo. Slovak did not introduced own markings in this war, it was to fast, after declaring the independence. They did not have time for this. mw |
